This November, join the University of Michigan community to celebrate Veterans Week 2018 — a time to honor those who have served. Since the Mary A. Rackham Institute’s inception as the Institute for Human Adjustment, we have proudly supported veterans at the University of Michigan and in the larger community. The U-M Aphasia Program (UMAP) was created, in part, to provide service for veterans returning from combat with communication disorders. MARI’s Psychological Clinic has a strong history of working with and for veterans as well, continuing well into the present. The Clinic Director Dr. Todd Favorite continues to work with veterans, providing services in conjunction with the VA.
Veterans Week 2018 begins Monday, November 5 and ends Friday, November 9. There are multiple events scheduled for each day that are free and open to the public. Stop by for a movie screening, a panel, or an informational talk. The full events calendar can be found on the Veteran and Military Services website. Check out the schedule of events and help the U-M community support its veterans!
