Education: PhD in Clinical Psychology from Wayne State University
Professional Interests: I enjoy wearing many different hats on the job. Clinically, I love working with neurodiverse individuals across the age range incorporating work to strengthen family relationships and effective parenting strategies. As training director, I love to watch the growth in trainees over the course of the year. I also enjoy the mentoring aspects of supervision. I love that in teaching the next generation of clinicians, I am able to have a larger impact on how many people are served and make progress in their lives.
What is your approach to therapy?: I strive to understand individuals and families as whole people and systems. I use an integrative approach to therapy incorporating Cognitive-Behavioral, 3rd wave, and systems approach integrating empathy and humor throughout my work.
What is your approach to wellness?: Getting regular workouts does wonders for my stress level. I also make sure to connect with friends and family on a regular basis, often going on walks with friends or making pizza together on a Friday night.
