Amanda Sheridan
Pronouns: She/hers
Education: MA from Eastern Michigan University
Professional Interests: I’m committed to working with individuals impacted by aphasia, fostering meaningful communication, and enhancing quality of life. I also have a strong passion for supporting elementary and middle school students with literacy goals, and guiding essential reading and writing skills. As an SLP, it’s both rewarding and challenging to apply language-based knowledge and experience in ways that work to make a difference in the lives of those we serve.
What instructional practices are you trained in?: I’m dedicated to delivering personalized, client-centered care for everyone I support, whether collaborating with adults navigating aphasia or supporting students pursuing their literacy goals.
What states are you licensed to practice in?: Michigan, California, New York, Ohio
What is your approach to wellness?: I try to take the time to check in with several aspects of wellness. Physically, I like to take walks (when it’s warm in Michigan) and occasionally attempt strength training. I try to foster a growth mindset, embracing mistakes and occasionally stepping out of my comfort zone. Taking time for myself is a must, but experiencing life with my kids, family, and friends is really what restores me.
