Beginning Sunday, May 3, 2026, the Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (TheRide) will temporarily close the Blake Transit Center and move bus boarding to the Fifth Avenue & Washington Street area, including MARI’s mental health clinics at 210 S. Fifth Ave.

What’s changing at our 210 S. Fifth Ave. location

  • Five bus lines will stop directly in front of our building.
  • All curb parking in front of the building will be unavailable.
  • No-stopping/no-parking zones will be enforced in front of the building.

What this means for MARI clients

  • Please plan extra time for arrival, as the curb in front of the building will not be available for parking or stopping.
  • If you have accessibility concerns about getting to your appointment, please speak with your clinician.

Taking the bus to your appointment

Driving to your appointment (parking and drop-off)

  • No curbside drop-off/pick-up will be available at 210 S. Fifth Ave. (including for rideshares and taxis).
  • Please plan to use a nearby parking garage.

Parking garages nearby

  • Fourth Ave. & Washington Garage — 123 E. Washington St.
    Elevator is currently out of service; stairs only (as of 4/29/26).
  • Library Lane Parking Garage (south of MARI on Fifth Ave.) — 319 S. Fifth Ave.
    Elevators are working.
  • Thompson/Maynard Garage — 320 Thompson St.
    Elevator is currently out of service; stairs only (as of 4/29/26).

Building access and accessibility

  • No impacts to sidewalks, ramps, or building access are expected.
