Ph.D., Psychologist

Pronouns: She/hers

Education: PhD – Wayne State University

Professional Interests: Psycho-educational assessment and evidence-based treatment for children, adolescents, and adults. Supervision of new clinicians. Assessment and treatment of anxiety and mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder, learning disabilities, behavior problems, and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) with particular focus on how these concerns manifest across the lifespan. I approach assessment and treatment from a multicultural lens and consider the impact of intersecting and marginalized identities, family and attachment relationships, and culture in my work with clients.

What is your approach to therapy?: I am an integrative therapist, and work to tailor treatment to each individual client or families needs. I strive to provide evidence-based treatment that considers the empirical knowledge in addition to the client’s unique identities. Treatment approaches include parent management training, emotion-focused therapy, brief dynamic therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, family therapy, and trauma-informed interventions.

What is your approach to wellness?: My relationships with friends and family are really important to my wellness and help me to fill my cup. My connection with nature is also an integral part of my wellness and self-care. I love to go hiking, spend time at the beach, and just be in nature. Finally, I love to travel and see and learn about new places and people.
