The Mary A. Rackham Institute is pleased to share our last PQI report of 2025.
PQI, performance and quality improvement, is an important part of any institution. PQI reports are composed of standards that address administrative and service delivery to help MARI achieve our mission and strategic goals.
This report highlights both accomplishments and areas for improvement, reflecting our commitment to learning and progress. When performance falls short of expectations, we outline plans for improvement, reinforcing our philosophy of accountability and continuous enhancement. We use a simple icon system to track outcomes:
- Red checkmark (not meeting our target)
- Yellow checkmark (approaching our target)
- Green checkmark (at or above target)
We hope this report demonstrates our dedication to clients, transparency about challenges, and openness to feedback.
It contains information related to:
- outcomes from our most recent client and staff surveys.
- updates on completed PQI projects:
- Adding a duress button at our University Center for Language and Literacy (UCLL)
- Adding a self check-in kiosk to our mental health clinics building
- current PQI improvement plans:
- Revamping our client intake process
- Standardizing the UCLL client exit experience at our University of Michigan Aphasia Program (UMAP
