Getting Started as a MARI Client
Like any healthcare service, starting with MARI requires completing important forms and permissions. We’ve designed this process to be as straightforward as possible while ensuring we collect the necessary information to begin your care.
Complete the Request for Services Form
To become a client, you must begin by registering for services through ClinicTracker, our secure Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. Please make sure to complete all 3 steps of the registration process to successfully submit the form.
Important:
- Registration should be completed only for the individual who will receive services.
- For children, a parent or guardian should complete the registration on the child’s behalf. Parents/guardians do not need to create their own account unless they are also seeking services.
- If you have previously received care at MARI, please do not click the new client registration button. Instead, please contact our Call Center at (734) 615-7853 or send us a message through the patient portal to restart care.
(NOTE: If prompted during registration, please enter Clinic ID: mari).

Registering Someone Else: If you already have a patient portal account and wish to register a new family member, log into your portal, navigate to Linked Profiles, and select “Register Someone Else.”
How do I register multiple family members as a new client at MARI?
- If you are new to MARI and are registering multiple family members for services, we recommend starting with only one child completing a comprehensive psychological assessment. This allows us to better understand the family’s needs and inform individualized treatment planning.
- Following the assessment, the clinician will have collaborative conversations with caregivers regarding treatment recommendations at the family level. At that time, the clinician can submit an internal referral to connect additional children in the family with therapy services.
How long will it take me to get matched to a clinician?
- After you complete your registration and tell us your concerns in the online system, our team will carefully review your information.
- Wait times can vary based on clinician availability, your scheduling needs, and insurance verification. Please contact our office for the most current estimated wait time for mental health services.
Can I register for services on my mobile device?
Yes! Click here to view our Registration Guide for Mobile Devices and start with Step #3.
What insurance plans do you accept?

Is MARI a part of Michigan Medicine’s system?
Nope! While we’re part of the University of Michigan, our mental health and speech and language services are independent of Michigan Medicine. We use our own health records system and operate separately, so your care is managed entirely by our team.
