Psychological Clinic

DBT Skills
  • Participants learn coping skills in the areas of mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness and emotion regulation to help manage difficult feelings and situations.
  • Ongoing weekly skills group, held in 16-week cycles. Each session lasts 1.5 hours.
  • Cost varies. $45 per session for self-pay, some insurances accepted.

 

Social Skills & Social Anxiety
  • Participants experiencing social anxiety work together to practice social skills, build confidence, increase social connections, and learn tools to manage their anxiety in real-life social situations.
  • Held three times a year (fall, winter and spring) in 8-week cycles. Each session runs for 1.5 hours.
  • Cost varies. $45 per session for self-pay, some insurances accepted.
Self-Compassion
  • Participants learn strategies to shift from self-criticism to self-kindness.
  • Held twice a year (fall and spring) in 8-week cycles. Each session lasts 1.5 hours.
  • Cost varies. $45 per session for self-pay, some insurances accepted.
Adult ADHD Skills
  • Participants learn and practice skills to support ADHD-related challenges including: reducing procrastination, improving focus, organization, planning, and supporting positive relationships.
  • Held twice a year (fall and spring), in-person, in 8-week cycles. Each session lasts 1.5 hours.
  • Cost varies. $45 per session for self-pay, some insurances accepted.

University Center for the Child and Family

Parenting through Separation and Divorce (Free)
  • This workshop provides information and strategies for parents in the process of separation or divorce, including how to understand their children’s needs and suggestions for communication and positive family relationships.
  • A certificate of attendance is provided at the conclusion of each workshop. To ensure a smooth process, our facilitators remain on the session until all participants have successfully accessed their documents.
  • No Late Attendees: Please arrive on time—participants who attempt to join after 11:15 AM will not be admitted.
  • Held monthly. Sessions last 1 hour.

Understanding and Managing Your Child’s ADHD (Free)
  • This workshop provides caregivers with information and strategies for their child with ADHD, including understanding causes and symptoms of ADHD, the emotional impact of ADHD and supporting success at home, at school and with friends.
  • Held monthly. Sessions last 1 hour.

Aphasia Social Hours (Free)
  • Virtual social hours where people with aphasia can gather and practice their communication skills in a safe environment. Social hours are guided by a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
