Join our free, virtual workshop to learn effective strategies for parenting through separation and divorce.
The University Center for the Child and Family (UCCF), part of the Mary A. Rackham Institute (MARI) at the University of Michigan, offers this free online workshop for parents and caregivers navigating separation and divorce.
You’ll get practical, supportive strategies to help you understand your child’s needs during this transition and strengthen co-parenting after separation/divorce.
Approved Program: This workshop is an approved alternative to the SMILE Program presented by the Friend of the Court in Washtenaw County, Michigan.

Certificate / Credit Requirements (Important)
Arrival cutoff: Participants who attempt to join after 11:15 AM will not be admitted.
Stay for credit: You must remain until 11:45 AM to receive a certificate.
How you’ll receive it: Certificates are shared via Zoom chat near the end of the workshop. Facilitators will stay on the line to help with downloading. A desktop or laptop works best; on mobile, you may need to take a screenshot.
Need to leave early (after 11:45 AM)? Message a facilitator privately to arrange to receive your certificate.
