At MARI, we are dedicated to supporting individuals and families navigating Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We offer comprehensive diagnostic assessments for all ages, plus specialized therapy and programs, such as ABA and feeding interventions — specifically for children (up to age 18) and their families.

Autism Assessment and Testing: For All Ages

MARI provides expert autism evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults. Our licensed clinicians combine clinical interviews, standardized assessments, and family consultations to deliver thorough, compassionate, and accurate diagnoses.

For testing information, please visit our testing webpage to learn more.

Therapy and Support Services: For Children and Families

Most ongoing autism-related services at MARI—such as therapy, ABA, and our feeding program—are designed for children (up to age 18) and their families. Our multidisciplinary approach equips children and families with evidence-based strategies and lasting support.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy

The University of Michigan Autism Consultation and Treatment Services (UM-ACTS) program is the only ABA clinic within the University of Michigan. UM-ACTS stands out by offering treatment for children in a variety of settings—including our clinic, in their homes, and at their daycare.

Providing therapy in a child’s home and daycare helps us better support the use of learned skills in natural environments. When intervention happens directly in daycare, our clinicians can observe and foster social skills through real-time interactions with friends and classmates, creating meaningful and practical progress for your child.

Additional Child and Family Services

  • Social Skills Groups: Build confidence and connections with peers in small-group settings.
  • Parent/Caregiver Coaching: Proven techniques and ongoing support to empower families.
  • School & Community Integration: Guidance for navigating IEPs and linking to local resources.

Feeding Program

Feeding and mealtime challenges are common in children with ASD. Our specialized Feeding Program offers evaluation and intervention for picky eating, restricted diets, and related behaviors for children and adolescents.
