In August 2023, staff at the Mary A. Rackham Insitute (MARI) participated in two outreach events on the University of Michigan’s campus, engaging with both undergraduate and graduate students.
At the events, MARI’s table included flyers detailing services at our three service centers, upcoming workshops and events, and ways for students to get involved.* We also included some fun handouts for students, including fidget bracelets and keychains.
First, we participated in Rackham Graduate School’s Fall Welcome event. Our director, Dr. Christine Asidao, spoke to students about our numerous services during the Welcome Ceremony.
Then, we tabled and connected with over 900 graduate students, faculty and staff at the Info Fair.
Second, we participated in Festifall, the largest student organization fair at the University of Michigan. Undergraduate students were able to learn more about our resources and opportunities to get involved.*
We even had some of our student trainees at our table, sharing their experiences and interacting with the undergraduate students!
