Katie Scott, Ph.D., clinical neuropsychologist at the Mary A. Rackham Institute (MARI), was recently featured as the Michigan Concussion Center Faculty Spotlight. Dr. Scott provides testing and assessment as the lead of the newly expanded testing services program at MARI.
Dr. Scott joined MARI at the end of 2019. She completed a neuropsychology fellowship at Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital in Grand Rapids, Mich. and she worked at Spectrum Health before joining MARI. Dr. Scott has a wide range of clinical experience, including working with people who have mild cognitive impairment, acquired brain injury, dementia, movement science disorders, developmental disorders, and learning disorders. She has also worked with interdisciplinary teams in sport concussion clinics and inpatient rehab units.
The Michigan Concussion Center spoke with Dr. Scott about the role she plays in concussion management, her return-to-learn research, and what excites her about becoming a member of the Michigan Concussion Center.
