Please note, the University Center for the Child and Family free Parenting Through Separation and Divorce workshop for Wednesday, April 1, 2020 has been cancelled due to the COVID-19 outbreak. We are planning to host the workshop as scheduled in May and June as of now. However, that may change as more information becomes available.
If you’re going through a separation or divorce and would like help navigating the pitfalls and potential minefields — and ensure your children are receiving the support they need — consider attending this free workshop. This program is an approved alternative to the SMILE Program presented by the Friend of the Court.
Parenting Through Separation and Divorce workshops are designed to offer practical, actionable advice for couples going through a split. UCCF staff create a caring and collaborative environment for attendees in order to help parents understand their children’s needs during what can be a tumultuous time of change and uncertainty. This workshop offers specific suggestions for creating the most beneficial post-divorce parenting relationships. Registration is required.
UCCF provides free childcare for parents attending the event when we have staff available. If childcare is available for a monthly session, it will be offered as an option on the sign up form. Plan to arrive a few minutes early to get your children settled because the workshop will begin promptly at 7 p.m. and late attendees may not be admitted once the workshop begins.

When: 7-8 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month. The workshop starts promptly at 7 p.m. Late attendees may not be admitted.
