Going through a separation or divorce can be difficult on everyone involved. The University Center for the Child and Family (UCCF) offers Parenting Through Separation and Divorce, a one-time workshop to help you and your family navigate through the pitfalls and predicaments of separation and divorce. This free workshop continues to run the first Wednesday of each month, with spring and summer sessions scheduled for May 6, June 3, and July 1, 2020. Registration is required.
This free program is an approved alternative to the SMILE Program (offered by the Friend of the Court). Attending this workshop from UCCF will help you to ensure your child is getting the attention and support they need during this difficult time. The workshop is also designed to help you, providing practical advice in a gentle, caring environment. A main goal of the workshop is fostering healthy post-divorce relationships.
When staff is available, UCCF also offers childcare for free during the workshop. If that is the case for a specific session, a sign-up option will be provided when you register. Make sure you arrive with extra time to get your child settled, as the workshop will begin promptly and late attendees may not be admitted.
You can find information about upcoming workshops on our News and Events page, or by downloading our Spring 2020 Parenting Through Separation and Divorce Flyer (PDF). Sign up for the free workshop below, but clicking the registration button.
