In August 2024, staff at the Mary A. Rackham Insitute (MARI) participated in two outreach events on the University of Michigan’s campus, engaging with both undergraduate and graduate students.
At the events, MARI’s table included flyers detailing services at our three service centers, upcoming workshops and events, and ways for students to get involved.* We also included some fun handouts for students, including squirrel stress relievers, pins, fidget bracelets and keychains.
First, we participated in Rackham Graduate School’s Fall Welcome event. We were able to connect with over 600 graduate students, faculty and staff at the Info Fair. 
Students have the chance to play a game and earn one of our prizes.
Second, we participated in Festifall, the largest student organization fair at the University of Michigan. Undergraduate students were able to learn more about our resources and opportunities to get involved.*
We even had one of our student trainees at our table, sharing her experiences and interacting with the undergraduate students!
