Mindful Movement: Workshop for Adults

Events, General, Group Therapy, News, Psych Clinic, Workshops

Today’s world is fast-paced, with pressures to always be on the go and up-to-date, which can be exhausting, overwhelming, and lead to feeling out of balance with our own mind-body connection. Once we feel off-balance, it can be hard to find your way back to being in alignment.

The Psychological Clinic is offering a new 8-week virtual workshop with the goal of helping people re-establish their mind-body connection and learn to manage difficult feelings and situations through the daily cultivation and practice of mindful movement.

The group will start on on March 11, 2025 and include psychoeducation, group discussions, and experiential exercises.

Multiple strategies will be utilized, such as mindfulness, diaphragmatic breathing, yoga, and dance movement. Activities will occur during group to help build these skills, and tasks to practice at home between group sessions will be also provided.
