Todd Favorite, Ph.D., ABPP, and Director of the University Psychological Clinic, recently traveled to Lisbon, Portugal to lead a workshop at the 29th International Conference for the Society for the Exploration of Psychotherapy Integration (SEPI). The workshop was co-led by Anthony King, Ph.D.
Dr. Favorite and Dr. King’s presented Integrating Mindfulness and Compassion-Based Approaches into Trauma and PTSD Treatment. They examined ways mindfulness and compassion-based approaches could supplement other methods of treatment for those with trauma and PTSD. Dr. Favorite has been working with veterans at the Ann Arbor VA for more than 15 years, continuously trying to find innovative ways to combine therapy modes for increased effectiveness.
SEPI is an international and interdisciplinary organization focused on the integration of psychotherapy approaches and collaboration across scientific fields. The theme of the conference this year was Building Alliances.
